Akebar Park has a spacious, family-friendly touring park that is ideal for touring caravans and motorhomes with outstanding views over the open countryside.

If you’re searching for a family-friendly holiday destination in the Yorkshire Dales, look no further than Akebar Park. Our hard standing touring pitches all offer electric hook-up, toilets and showers, a washing up area and a well-equipped children’s play area.

There’s also an onsite shop with basic supplies, plus larger supermarkets are located just a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, if you fancy dining out, Akebar Park is lucky enough to have an on-site pub, The Friars Head, as well as a crazy golf course and an 18 hole golf course and other exceptional facilities.

On arrival

All customers must report to reception on arrival, where we will be happy to check you in and let you know where your pitch is. Once you’ve checked in our wardens will be on hand to guide you and help you settle in. Anything you need, just ask!

Touring park FAQs

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, we welcome well-behaved dogs at our park, so feel free to bring your furry friends along – we even have a dog exercise area!

Is your park open all year?

Akebar Park is open from 1st February until 4th January each year.

Is there a minimum night stay?

Yes, there is a minimums stay of two nights, which sometimes differs during bank holiday weekend or when there are big local events taking place.

What are the check in and departure times?

Check in at Akebar Park is from 12pm at reception, and we ask that you leave before 11am on your day of departure.

What entertainment is available on site at the park?

We are lucky to have an on-site restaurant, 18 hole golf course, children’s play area and crazy golf course, as well as plenty of other attractions within a short distance from the park.

The touring site is a great space for your family holiday, offering grass pitches with electric hook-up, along with a well-equipped children’s play area.
