Akebar Park is delighted to announce the opening of two brand new padel courts. This is an exciting addition to the park and means Padel is now available to the public and guests of Akebar Holiday Park in the Yorkshire Dales.

Experience one of the newest outdoor padel destinations in the Yorkshire Dales at Akebar Park, near Leyburn. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a regular player, our courts offer the perfect place to enjoy the UK’s fastest-growing sport in a stunning countryside setting.

Booking is quick and easy through the Playtomic app — simply search “Akebar Park” or click the Book Now button below to reserve your court in minutes.
Racket hire is available from Reception for £9 per racket, with balls also available to purchase on-site.
Refuel
Located next to The Friars Head, our padel courts are the perfect place for social catch-ups, friendly competition and some serious post-padel refuelling.

After your game, relax with drinks, pizza and great food just steps from the courts — making Akebar Park one of the best places to play padel in North Yorkshire.

Padel Coaching with Steve Anderson
Having migrated from a squash and tennis background, Steve has played Padel for 6 years and qualified to coach in 2025.
He is currently working as a freelance coach locally with over 200 hours of coaching at all levels.
Available for 1-1 coaching and up to 4 people in group sessions.
This covers complete starters who just want the basic rules and help getting started, to intermediate who want to brush up on technique and tactics.

Qualification – Pro Level Coach – all standards – Member ID 908
