1. How much are the annual site fees?
Our annual site fees vary depending on the type of holiday home you own.
- Static caravans: from £4,479 per year
- Lodges: from £5,850 per year
These fees contribute towards maintaining the park, grounds and facilities to the high standards our owners enjoy.
2. How much does a holiday home at Akebar Park cost?
Holiday homes at Akebar generally start from around £35,000 depending on availability. These will usually be pre-owned, with brand new holiday homes starting from around £50,000. Lodges usually start from around £80,000. View our current holiday homes for sale here.
3. What facilities are available on the park?
Owners have access to a fantastic range of facilities, including

- Children’s play area, mini golf, and beautiful countryside walks.

4. What is included in the annual site fee?
Site fees include water and refuse collection. You can also use your holiday home 11 months of the year at Akebar Park.
5. What other costs should I budget for?
You should budget for WiFi, electric, gas and insurance. Our sales team can provide some examples of these costs on request.
6. Can my family and friends use my holiday home?
Absolutely. One of the biggest benefits of ownership is being able to share it with family and friends. Whether it’s grandparents spending time with the grandchildren or friends joining you for a weekend away, your holiday home is there to enjoy together.
7. Can I bring my dog?
Yes! We know dogs are part of the family, and they’re very welcome at Akebar. There are plenty of countryside walks straight from the park, making it a fantastic base for owners with four-legged companions.
8. Do I have to buy a brand-new holiday home?
Not at all. We have a wide selection of both brand-new and quality pre-owned holiday homes available, with options to suit different budgets and lifestyles.
9. How long is the park open each year?
Akebar Park has an 11-month holiday season, giving owners plenty of opportunity to enjoy their holiday home throughout most of the year.
10. Is there Wi-Fi on the park?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available, allowing you to stay connected in your Holiday Home. Each individual holiday home requires it’s own internet, our park provider, Signal, are very reliable.
11. What happens when I come for a viewing?
Our viewings are relaxed and completely no-pressure. You’ll enjoy a tea or coffee with one of our friendly team, take a tour of the park and its facilities, view a selection of holiday homes that suit your requirements, and have plenty of opportunity to ask questions along the way. Our Open Weekends are also a great opportunity to take a look around.

13. Can I part-exchange my existing static caravan?
Yes, absolutely! We can help you part exchange your current static caravan, lodge or touring caravan and put the value of it towards a holiday home here at Akebar, even if you are on a different park.
14. Can I finance a holiday home purchase?
We don’t provide finance directly but there are a number of providers that are available.
15. Can I sublet my holiday home?
Not at Akebar but we do offer subletting packages at our site park, Kiplin Country Park.
16. Where is Akebar Park?
Akebar is located between Leyburn and Bedale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, giving you great access to some of North Yorkshires most stunning scenery whilst still being easily accessible from the A1.
